Budget-Friendly Holiday Gifts for Dog Walking Clients
Giving your dog walking clients a budget-friendly gift around the holidays can be great way to show your appreciation for their continued support. And it can be a good strategy to touch base with clients you haven't seen in a while so you stay top of mind for them too.
If giving holiday gifts is something you want to do, keeping the cost down is often necessary, especially if you have a large number of clients. Here are some affordable options for holiday gifts.
Holiday Cards
While technically not a gift, a holiday card is the way to go if you have a large client base or a lot of inactive clients you want to include. Many online companies offer customizable card templates (Shutterfly, TinyPrints) where you can drop in a photo, and they have discounts prior to the holidays too. For a more customized option, I love Canva's card templates; you can add your logo and use your brand colors with a couple clicks of your mouse. Or, create a design from scratch and have cards printed directly through Canva, or download your design and print it elsewhere.
Toy or Treats
Watch for sales at local pet stores and online for toys and treats. You can also find great deals on quality toys and treats at Homegoods, TJ Maxx or Chewy. Creating a DIY mason jar filled with homemade or store-bought treats also makes a great gift (watch my DIY video on how here).
Custom Magnets
If you have nice photos of your client pets, have custom photo magnets made from Shutterfly or Walgreens. (Tip: Shutterfly often has 50% off sales, watch for them).
Photo Prints
