How to Get Stellar Client ReviewsĀ
How important are client reviews in your dog walking business? According to forbes.com:
- Online reviews impact more than 67% of buying decisions.
- 84% of people trust online reviews as much as a personal recommendation.
- 74% of consumers say a positive review makes them trust a local business more.
So if you don’t have any reviews yet, it’s well worth the effort to get some! Here are 3 ways to get your clients to write reviews.
#1 Review Sites
Set up an account with Google My Business, Yelp, and/or a Facebook Business account. Clients who use these services can easily leave you a review. Plus, sites like these will help you get more exposure online.
#2 Ask for Reviews
If you don’t ask, you’ll get fewer reviews. Drive traffic to your Yelp, Google, and Facebook pages by asking clients to give you a positive review. The best times to ask:
- When they are already thanking you for a job well done
- When they have just referred you to someone
- When they post something positive about you on social media
#3 Make it Easy
When asking online, include a direct link to your review sites in your email signature line as well as in any email newsletters. If you’re asking for a Facebook review, use messenger if possible so your client is already on Facebook and doesn’t have to leave the app.
Once you have some great reviews, don’t forget to share them! Include them prominently on your website (not just on a review page). Put them on multiple pages and include your best review on your homepage. Post them to your Instagram & Facebook accounts. Share a different review each week or two. And yes, you can share the same one more than once, just don’t share the same one over and over— space it out to every 3 months or so to avoid too much repetition.
